This Grapevine church needed help with their asphalt parking lots that were aging and in need of repair. All State Paving reviewed the extend of the damaged pavement and recommended repaving as the best solution. After removing the top layer of asphalt, new asphalt was placed and compressed to the proper specifications.
If cracks and holes are visible throughout your pavement, repaving may be the best solution for your church parking lot. This is especially true if the damage extends from the surface all the way down to the foundation. While this process is more extensive and costs more because of asphalt removal, the long-term savings over the life of the pavement will be seen as years of high traffic takes longer to create problems. The maintenance for your new asphalt will be sealcoating every 2 to 3 years.

Mall parking lot asphalt paving can be a challenging and intricate process that requires careful planning, preparation, and execution. One of the primary difficulties with mall parking lot paving is the size and complexity of the project. With large parking lots, there's significant surface area to cover, which can require increased amounts of time and resources.
Another challenge of mall parking lot paving is the need for minimal disruption to shoppers and tenants. Mall parking lots are often busy, and closing them down for an extended period of time can be problematic for business owners and customers alike. As a result, it's crucial to have a well-planned paving process that can be executed quickly and efficiently, with minimal disruption.
In addition to these logistical challenges, there's also technical intricacies involved in mall parking lot paving. For example, the paving process must take into account the specific needs of the parking lot, such as the required thickness of the asphalt, the necessary slope for proper drainage, and the right mix of materials to ensure durability and longevity.
Parking lots are subjected to heavy loads from vehicles, which can cause cracking and other damage over time. Because of this, the paving process must also include measures to prevent such issues, such as proper reinforcement and crack filling.
To overcome these challenges, it's important to work with a paving company that has extensive experience in mall parking lot paving. Our experience at All State Paving can help with everything from initial planning and preparation to the execution and maintenance of the parking lot. By working with our skilled team of experts, you can ensure your mall parking lot is safe, functional, and visually appealing for shoppers and tenants.
This most recent job consisted of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and a reclaimer milling 3 inches into existing asphalt to prepare for the repaving shown below. This nearly 26,000 square foot parking lot will have many sections of it repaved over the next several week. More specifically, these photos show the previously milled 3” surface with the asphalt paving in progress. Where the asphalt is being pressed against the 3” deep wall of concrete, a tack coat of CSS-1h asphalt emulsion, diluted with a 1 to 1 water ratio, is applied to promote adhesion between the two materials (If this job required a prime coat of CSS-1h, it would need to be diluted with a 25% emulsion to 75% water ratio). This cationic slow setting asphalt emulsion must be applied and paved over within 24 hours.
